Proposing Predictions
Want to see a specific prediction on Mettle Market? You can help shape the future of the platform by proposing ideas for new markets.
How to Propose
It’s simple:
📲 Tweet your prediction idea to @saejincho on X (formerly Twitter). If your idea is accepted, the Mettle Market team will create the market and post it live.
What Makes a Good Prediction?
To keep things fair, exciting, and resolvable, we follow a few guidelines when reviewing proposals:
Binary Outcomes The prediction should have a clear YES or NO answer. Ideally, it should have an explicit time frame. ✅ “Will Startup X raise $10M by Q4?” ❌ “How successful will Startup X be?”
Early-Stage Relevance We focus on startup-related events, especially ones tied to early traction, growth, or fundraising.
Verifiable Resolution There must be a way to verify the outcome, ideally via an announcement, press release, or credible source. In many cases, especially disputes, the Mettle Market team may reach out to relevant parties to determine an outcome. If we can’t confirm the result, the market can’t be resolved.
✍️ Example Proposals
“Will [Startup Name] hit 1M users by the end of the year?”
“Will [Founder] close a seed round in 2025?”
“Will [Startup] get accepted into Y Combinator this summer?”
